Construction manager
A well-established, family-owned general contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial projects throughout Ventura County. With more than 30 years in business, this team has built a reputation for quality craftsmanship, strong client relationships, and delivering projects from concept through completion.
This role is ideal for a construction professional who can successfully manage multiple projects, coordinate teams, and ensure exceptional project execution while serving as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, and project resources
- Coordinate field teams and ensure projects stay on track
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project scopes
- Monitor project financial performance and manage change orders
- Maintain quality control and enforce safety standards
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, designers, consultants, and construction teams
- Provide leadership and support to project teams throughout all phases of construction
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of construction management experience
- Experience managing commercial construction, residential construction, remodels, renovations, or design-build projects
- Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
Preferred Experience
- Commercial tenant improvements
- Residential renovations and additions
- Property maintenance and capital improvement projects
- Design-build delivery
- HOA or multifamily renovation work
