Construction Manager (SC) Position Overview The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the home building process in the Greenville, SC area, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors, while maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders. The Construction Manager will also ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards, while maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. As part of Keystone Custom Homes, the Construction Manager will play a critical role in achieving the company’s mission of "Building Dreams Together." Key Responsibilities - Project Oversight: Manage and supervise all stages of the home building process, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control. Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure successful execution of all construction activities.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards. Oversee adherence to all health and safety procedures on-site, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Quality Assurance: Review construction designs and specifications to ensure quality control. Proactively identify any potential risks or issues and address them before they impact the project.
- Budget and Resource Management: Manage the project budget, including monitoring expenses, preparing cost reports, and ensuring the most efficient use of resources throughout the construction process.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed of projectprogress, changes, and challenges.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any construction challenges, delays, or issues that arise, ensuring the project remains on track and successful.
Qualifications - Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proven experience in construction project management, with a solid understanding of construction methodologies, blueprints, and technical aspects of home building.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors effectively.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain strong working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to set and meet aggressive project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and detail.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently.
- A passion for continuous improvement and a proactive approach to solving challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to different project locations.
