Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Construction Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to work on a large Rail and Transit project in the Portland OR (Pacific Northwest) area.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience), and typically 15+ years of experience in field construction is required.
  • Proven experience managing and coordinating a multidisciplinary construction management team in a field environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as the primary point of contact between the Client and Design-Builder for construction-related activities.
  • Experience coordinating and managing RFIs, submittals, Potential Change Orders, Client requests, Non-Conformance Reports, quality issues, safety concerns, and other construction-related matters.
  • Ability to monitor field construction activities and assess compliance with contract documents, approved design requirements, quality standards, and applicable codes.
  • Ability to review construction progress against CPM schedules and short-term look-ahead schedules and identify potential delays, constraints, and schedule impacts.
  • Experience leading construction coordination, progress, schedule, quality, safety, and issue-resolution meetings.
  • Ability to assess construction sequencing, phasing, constructability, site logistics, access requirements, and coordination between trades.
  • Ability to identify emerging construction risks and provide timely assessments and recommendations to the Client.
  • Experience reviewing and providing recommendations regarding Potential Change Orders, field conditions, contractor proposals, and associated cost and schedule impacts.
  • Ability to review and approve Daily Reports, inspection reports, progress documentation, and other construction records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Experience coordinating construction activities within an active rail or transit operating environment, including access restrictions, outages, work windows, and operational interfaces.
  • Ability to support testing, commissioning, punch list, Substantial Completion, turnover, and project closeout activities.
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with the Client, Design-Builder, Engineer of Record, contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related engineering or construction discipline from an accredited institution.
  • PE License or CCM Certification desired.
  • Experience with rail yard, maintenance facility, shop, industrial facility, or similar complex facility construction preferred.
  • Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.
  • Good Oral and Written communication abilities, will be responsible reviewing and approving Daily and other Reports.
  • Amtrak experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand CPM Schedules
  • Have a basic understanding of the Applicable Building Codes.
  • Software skills should include:

Salary Range: $125,100.00 - $225,200.00
