We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join our team and provide on-site leadership across complex industrial and MEP projects.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial construction and MEP systems, with proven experience managing construction activities, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and supporting projects through delivery. A key part of the role will be managing and coordinating change management activities, ensuring changes are properly assessed, documented, communicated, and implemented.
This is a predominantly site-based position, with approximately 80% of the role expected to be performed on-site.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Provide day-to-day construction management and leadership on-site.
o Oversee industrial construction activities and coordinate MEP packages.
o Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
o Monitor construction progress against the project programmes and key milestones.
o Identify and escalate construction risks, issues, delays, and potential impacts to delivery.
o Support the coordination and sequencing of MEP and industrial construction activities.
o Manage and support change management processes, ensuring changes are properly assessed, documented, tracked, and communicated.
o Assess the potential impact of changes on project scope, cost, schedule, and delivery.
o Work closely with project management, commercial, engineering, and client teams to manage project changes effectively.
o Lead regular site meetings, progress reviews, and coordination meetings.
o Monitor contractor performance and ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications, programmes, and project requirements.
o Maintain accurate project and construction documentation.
o Provide regular reporting on construction progress, risks, changes, and key project issues.
o Support project completion, commissioning, and handover activities.
Qualifications:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
o Proven experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar senior construction role.
o Strong experience working on industrial construction projects.
o Good knowledge and understanding of MEP systems and installations.
o Demonstrable experience with change management within a construction or project environment.
o Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and wider project stakeholders.
o Strong understanding of construction programmes, sequencing, and project delivery.
o Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
o Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
o A proactive, hands-on approach to construction management.
o The ability and willingness to work on-site in Goldsboro, NC approximately 80% of the time.
Qualifications
o Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field required.
