Description

Construction Manager – Data Center (Owner's Representative)
Contract - On Site
Tulsa, OK area (2 Sites)
Start Date: ASAP
Up to $65.00 per hour + per diem and expenses. 
Benefits include medical dental vision, paid holidays, accrued PTO, 401k with company match after 90 days.


Position Summary
Support the construction of two large-scale data center projects.
Serve as the owner's representative, partnering closely with EPC contractors, design teams, and project stakeholders.
Ensure construction is executed safely, on schedule, and within budget in accordance with project specifications.
This is a hands-on field leadership role requiring prior mission-critical/data center construction experience.
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of MEP systems, construction administration, and engineering documentation.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the owner throughout all phases of construction.
  • Review and coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals for technical accuracy and timely resolution.
  • Work directly with general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and project teams to drive construction progress.
  • Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, project schedules, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with design engineers regarding field issues and constructability concerns.
  • Conduct site walks and inspections to verify work is installed according to drawings and specifications.
  • Track project milestones, identify schedule risks, and help implement recovery plans when necessary.
  • Support commissioning planning and turnover activities.
  • Attend owner, contractor, and subcontractor meetings while documenting action items.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on the project site.
  • Assist with change order reviews, field issue resolution, and project reporting.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7+ years of construction management experience.
  • Previous data center construction experience is required.
  • Experience reviewing and managing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and construction documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial building construction and project execution.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with contractors, engineers, and owners.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
 
Preferred Qualifications and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering degree strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems
  • Experience with hyperscale or mission-critical facilities.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • PMP or CCM certification is a plus.
