    Description

    We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support the Charging Construction team. As a Construction Manager, you will play a crucial role in construction oversight and implementation of Tesla Supercharging infrastructure projects. This person must have a strong understanding of project management, with accreditation in design or engineering, general or electrical contractor experience as a bonus. The role demands innovation, agility and quick thinking, and excellent leadership skills to ensure the successful deployment of our evolving and innovative charging solutions.

    The ideal candidate demonstrates a bias to action, logical problem solving, and mastery of a project's tactical details. They bring high energy and an optimistic approach to completing projects in a swift and quality manner.

    • Manage General Contractors to ensure work is performed efficiently, code compliant, spec compliance, environmental and safety standards
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective and innovative solutions without compromising on quality or safety
    • Conduct on-site inspections to verify work performed
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative solutions to problems in construction
    • Work with various internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services
    • Responsible for all aspects of the construction process from project bid to closeout
    • Communicate effectively, both orally and written. Prepare weekly construction reports with photos, schedule, etc. for internal and external stakeholders
    • 4+ years of project management or field construction management experience and bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, a related subject, or equivalent experience
    • Ability to travel (60+%) required with ability to obtain a US passport
    • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple active construction projects simultaneously
    • Understanding of construction processes, including contracts, budgets, change orders, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurement
    • Strong understanding of AC and DC power, transformers, circuit protection, single-line electrical and mechanical diagrams, and construction drawings
    • Strong leadership capability, with competency using digital tools and software, and strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to civil and electrical construction
