Construction Manager

We are seeking a Construction Manager to lead field execution activities for large-scale industrial water and wastewater treatment projects. This role will oversee on-site construction operations, coordinate with project stakeholders, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

The Construction Manager will serve as a key liaison between owners, contractors, engineering teams, and field personnel while driving successful project execution from mobilization through commissioning and turnover.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Execution

  • Lead day-to-day field construction activities.
  • Develop and implement construction execution plans.
  • Coordinate construction sequencing and site logistics.
  • Review drawings and specifications for constructability.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
  • Manage equipment deliveries, installation activities, and workforce planning.

Project Management

  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Track labor productivity and subcontractor performance.
  • Review and approve invoices, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Support forecasting and project reporting activities.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for construction-related activities.
  • Lead project meetings and provide status updates.
  • Coordinate responses to RFIs and design clarifications.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project partners.
  • Resolve field issues and construction conflicts efficiently.

Contract Administration

  • Review project scope and contractual requirements.
  • Support change management processes.
  • Assist with subcontractor negotiations and issue resolution.
  • Maintain project documentation and field records.

Team Leadership

  • Provide guidance to field engineers, inspectors, coordinators, and subcontractors.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and operational excellence.
  • Support collaboration between field and office teams.
  • Mentor less experienced construction professionals.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of construction management experience in industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, or process-related projects.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and field construction activities.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, safety practices, and project controls.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with water treatment, wastewater treatment, or process systems.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor, manufacturing, or high-tech facility construction.
  • Familiarity with EPC project delivery.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6.
  • CCM or PE certification.
