Job Title: Construction ManagerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating activities in various fields, including engineering, research and development, and financial systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing data center or commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
  • Recruit employees, assign and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Review, recommend, or approve contracts and cost estimates.

Essential Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor"s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in data center or commercial construction management.
  • Experience in project management and construction safety.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid workspace type with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week. The role requires the use of specific equipment, including a monitor, keyboard, headset, mouse, and safety gear such as a Class 2 Safety Helmet, Class 2 or higher vest, cut and impact-resistant gloves, ANSI Z87.1 or higher safety glasses or visor, and composite toe work boots. The candidate should be prepared to work in environments requiring a Class 2 or higher reflective jacket suitable for cold and wet weather. Proficiency with Bluebeam and P6 is advantageous if the candidate has relevant experience.

This is a Contract position based out of Oak Leaf, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $100.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
