Construction Laborer > Pay Rate- $18/hr. To $22/hr.

Job Description

The laborer will be responsible for performing general construction duties to support various projects effectively and safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate certified forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Perform site clean-up to maintain a tidy and organized work area.
• Move materials to designated areas as required.
• Manage trash and ensure proper disposal.
• Utilize hand and power tools for various construction tasks.
• Perform flagging duties to ensure safe traffic flow around construction sites.
• Operate man lifts when necessary to reach elevated areas.
• Follow detailed to-do lists to complete tasks as directed.
• Coordinate the delivery and placement of dumpsters.
• Set up traffic control measures to ensure site safety.
• Oversee the clean-up crew and ensure tasks are completed effectively.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisors.
• Work some Saturdays as required to meet project deadlines.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction work environments.
• Certified forklift or gradall operation.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with general labor tasks.
• Ability to manage and supervise a team of laborers.

Work Environment

This position is based on a commercial construction site. The environment is fast-paced and requires adherence to safety protocols. Some tasks will require working outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions. Saturdays may occasionally be required to meet project timelines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
