Our client is seeking an experienced Interior Project Manager to oversee multiple commercial interior construction projects across New York and New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional who can independently manage projects from award through closeout while serving as a key liaison between clients, field teams, subcontractors, and leadership.

Founded by a veteran with nearly two decades of experience at leading general contractors, the company specializes in interiors construction including framing, drywall, carpentry, acoustical ceilings, painting, doors, and hardware installations.
Description
- Project Management: Manage 5-10 commercial interior construction projects simultaneously, ranging from approximately $100K to $9 million in value.
- Schedule Management: Oversee all phases of project execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and project closeout.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate with field teams, clients, architects, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Safety Compliance: Develop and maintain project schedules while proactively mitigating risks, delays, and potential cost impacts.
- Quality Control: Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Documentation: Utilize project management and estimating software platforms, including Procore (preferred), and Bluebeam/OnScreen Takeoff where applicable.
Profile
- 5-10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Strong preference for experience within interior trades, including drywall, framing, carpentry, ceilings, painting, doors and hardware, or related interior construction scopes.
- Candidates from commercial general contracting backgrounds will also be considered, provided they possess strong knowledge of commercial construction sequencing and trade coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects with minimal oversight.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and cost control.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
- Experience working on commercial, healthcare, hospitality, retail, or corporate interiors projects is highly desirable.
