CAFCO Group is seeking energetic, talented and technology savvy people with a primary focus on performing construction inspection activities on multiple NYC School Construction projects throughout the borough of Queens NY.
Responsibilities
- Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications.
- Inspect all material upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure compliance
- Tracks quality assurance progress
- Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
- Review plans to identify potential violations
- Document inspections and report any issues daily
- Determine the quality of materials being used throughout the testing.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Associates Degree in engineering or construction management
- 6+ years of experience in building construction trades including inspection of site/civil work
- flexible schedule: availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- NICET certifications or equivalent or ASCE grade
- Blueprint reading is a must
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods and procedures
- Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations
- Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Collaborate with multiple team members
- Ability and coordination to safely maneuver around a construction site.
