Job DetailsThe Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate conceptual, schematic, and hard bid estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects. This role partners with operations, project management, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop budgets, perform quantity takeoffs, analyze project risks, solicit pricing, and support successful project pursuits from preconstruction through award.
Requirements
- Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related degree
• Commercial construction estimating experience
• Experience preparing conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates
• Ability to perform quantity takeoffs from construction documents
• Understanding of construction means, methods, materials, and sequencing
• Experience soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Ability to develop scopes of work and bid packages
• Knowledge of cost control, value engineering, and budgeting principles
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
• Experience working with project owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
• Valid driver's license
