Job Description
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
Analyze project plans and specifications to ensure comprehensive understanding of requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to develop realistic project budgets.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions.
Manage bid proposals and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
Track project costs and update estimates as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain a database of historical cost data to improve accuracy in future estimates.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Construction Estimator should have:
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical documents.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with project stakeholders.
A proactive approach and attention to detail.
A degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
