Job Description
Construction Estimator - Manhattan, NY
- Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid estimates for commercial interiors projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate cost projections
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing proposals
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and scope analysis
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, architects, and clients during preconstruction
- Maintain and update cost databases, subcontractor relationships, and market pricing information
- Prepare bid packages, proposal documents, and estimate presentations for clients and leadership
- Support contract negotiations and project handoff to operations teams

The Successful Applicant
A successful Construction Estimator should have:
- Proven experience as an Estimator within commercial interiors construction
- Strong understanding of NYC fit-out and tenant improvement projects
- Proficiency reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Experience with quantity takeoffs, subcontractor solicitation, and bid leveling
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Familiarity with estimating software and construction management platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
