Job Description
Construction Estimator (Commercial TI) - Manhattan, NY
- Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed construction estimates for commercial tenant improvement projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
- Lead RFP and bidding processes, including scope reviews and bid leveling.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and design documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with preconstruction, operations, and design teams to support project planning.
- Contribute to project budgeting, value engineering, and cost analyses.
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and stay updated on Manhattan construction market pricing.

- 5-10+ years of estimating experience specifically in commercial tenant improvement (TI) or corporate interiors construction.
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and Manhattan subcontractor market pricing.
- Proven ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and project documents with high accuracy.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to develop detailed, defensible cost estimates.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with preconstruction, project management, and design teams.
- Able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple estimates simultaneously.
- High attention to detail, professional judgement, and commitment to quality.
