    Construction Estimator – Commercial Restoration

    Hialeah, FL | Full-Time | Office-Based

    An established Florida General Contractor with more than 30 years of experience is hiring a Construction Estimator for concrete restoration, stucco, waterproofing, and commercial interior and exterior painting projects.

    We are seeking an estimator who can independently prepare accurate, competitive bids and support projects from initial review through turnover. Commercial concrete restoration experience is strongly preferred; however, estimators from commercial general contracting, subcontracting, windows and doors, and other construction sectors are encouraged to apply.

    Responsibilities

    • Review blueprints, specifications, bid invitations, and project requirements.
    • Conduct site visits to evaluate project scope, access, existing conditions, and logistical requirements.
    • Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, stucco, waterproofing, coatings, and related restoration work.
    • Quantify square footage, linear footage, cubic footage, and individual repair locations.
    • Develop estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, access systems, mobilization, protection, demolition, and disposal.
    • Apply labor production rates and evaluate supplier, vendor, and subcontractor pricing.
    • Prepare competitive bids, proposals, and supporting documentation.
    • Track bid deadlines, addenda, revisions, clarifications, and project information.
    • Coordinate with project managers to support planning and project handoff.
    • Maintain accurate and organized estimating records.

    Qualifications

    • At least two years of construction estimating experience preferred.
    • Experience independently preparing quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and project bids.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
    • Strong understanding of labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and project-related costs.
    • Strong computer, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
    • Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar estimating software preferred.
    • Familiarity with CSI Divisions 03, 07, and 09 or comparable construction cost codes is preferred.
    • High-rise, commercial, or restoration project experience is a plus.
