Construction Project Manager (Environmental)

As a Construction Project Manager (Environmental), you'll lead field and construction activities for environmental, remediation, and infrastructure projects across the region-while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid schedule and the option to sit in any of our North Carolina offices.

What You'll Do

• Lead construction oversight for environmental and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance from kickoff through closeout.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and field teams while maintaining strong relationships with clients and regulatory partners.
• Oversee daily field operations, including site inspections, progress tracking, documentation, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate closely with environmental scientists, engineers, and project managers to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
• Review plans, specifications, and submittals to ensure alignment with project goals and environmental requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, budgets, and field logs.
• Support procurement, contractor selection, and contract administration.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing updates, addressing questions, and ensuring a smooth project experience.
• Travel to project sites as needed (short‑term, regional travel).
• Contribute to a collaborative, solutions‑oriented team culture.

What You Bring

• Experience managing construction projects-environmental, civil, remediation, or infrastructure experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site safety, contractor coordination, and field operations.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self‑motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment.
• Willingness to travel regionally for site visits and short‑term field assignments.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet standard BG requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with environmental construction, remediation, landfill, or civil sitework.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations, permitting, or compliance.
• Experience working with public agencies, utilities, or industrial clients.
• Interest in long‑term growth within environmental project management.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $68.00/hr.
