Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Construction Engineer to their Chicago Team!
Responsibilities:
- Serveas a liaison with contractor
- Conducton-site observation as needed
- Coordinateconstruction activities
- Maintainjob site records (daily reports, job meeting minutes, approval drawings, and/orpay requests)
- Observe/documentconstruction activities and maintain a daily log of construction activities
- Monitorprogress schedule/shop drawing log
- Reviewpay requests/verify completed work
- Perform general civilengineering and client service duties
Requirements:
- B.S. degree inCivil/Construction Engineering from an accredited program with an emphasis on constructionengineering
- 5+ years of progressiveexperience
- PE License orability to obtain within one year preferred
- Past IDOT orIllinois Tollway project experience
- Construction experiencewith Chicago DOT/Metra preferred
- Experience withIDOT/Tollway construction management software preferred
Salaryis commensurate with experience.
