Construction Defect / General Liability Defense Associate (2+ Years) - Houston

A nationally recognized litigation and insurance defense firm is seeking a construction defect and general liability defense associate for its Houston office to represent insurers, contractors, and businesses.

Responsibilities

- Defend construction defect, construction accident, and general liability claims from intake through trial

- Draft pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions

- Take and defend depositions, including expert and fact witnesses

- Report to carriers and clients and handle mediations and settlement negotiations

Requirements

- 2+ years of construction defect, general liability, or insurance defense litigation experience

- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Texas

- Deposition and motion practice experience

- Strong writing and client communication skills

Full-time, hybrid schedule based in Houston.
