The Construction Coordinator supports daily on-site operations by coordinating subcontractor activities, managing site documentation, and assisting with construction supervision, QA/QC, and EHS functions. This role serves as a key communication and administrative bridge between field teams, management, and support departments to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient site execution.
General Responsibilities
Site Coordination & Workforce Tracking:
Supervise subcontractor on site activities.
Verify on-site headcounts and coordinate with Site Administrator to ensure accurate reporting aligned with project requirements.
Construction Support & Communication:
Assist construction superintendents with on-site coordination, communication, and task follow-up.
Serve as a point of contact between subcontractors, superintendents, and management for daily operational matters.
Coordinate with Site Administrator to support schedule tracking and communicate site updates or issues in a timely manner.
Other tasks assigned by Construction Superintendent.
QA/QC Support:
Assist QA/QC engineers with on-site inspections, walk-throughs, and documentation.
Help track inspection results, punch lists, and corrective actions.
Support compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
EHS Support:
Assist with EHS site walks, safety observations, and checklist inspections.
Support enforcement of site safety rules and proper documentation of EHS activities.
Help identify potential safety concerns and escalate issues to supervisors or EHS personnel.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Related Experience:
Associate’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field) required.
Background in commercial, industrial, or semiconductor construction preferred.
Must Have:
Ability to work on site daily (position is based in on-site trailer).
OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively with field crews, subcontractors, and management.
Nice to Have:
Experience in site coordination, site administration, or construction support roles.
Familiarity with QA/QC or EHS procedures in construction or industrial settings.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents.
Working Conditions Disclosure
Construction site environment with exposure to dust, noise, extreme temperatures, and large equipment.
May require standing, walking, or climbing for extended periods.
Use of appropriate PPE is required at all times on-site.
