We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Finance Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategies of our construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of the construction industry, including cost accounting, job costing, and work-in-progress reporting. As a Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in the financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management of our company. You will also be responsible for the month-end close process and monthly reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the financial health and growth of our company.
Responsibilities:
1. Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
2. Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
3. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies, and regulatory action.
4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
5. Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
6. Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting to the Company.
7. Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
8. Ensure effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the construction industry.
4. Strong understanding and experience with ERP systems.
5. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management.
6. Extensive knowledge of cost accounting, job costing, and work-in-progress reporting.
7. Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
8. Adept at conducting complex financial analysis and preparing detailed reports.
9. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
11. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
