    Description

    Experience: 8+ years, licensure preferred

    Education: Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program

    Minimum eight years of related experience as a licensed Project Architect or non-licensed Architectural Staff III. Works closely with Project Managers to supervise technical delivery and field operations.

    Qualifications

    • Architectural licensure and sustainable design certification preferred
    • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience and at least 4 completed projects of comparable scope and scale
    • Strong multidisciplinary technical background with deep understanding of construction sequencing, contract drawings, and specifications

    Responsibilities

    • Act as primary point of contact for Owner and Contractor during the construction phase, interfacing with WDG PMs and Project Architects
    • Build and maintain favorable working relationships with clients, contractors, and field teams
    • Serve as information hub for all disciplines, performing coordination and quality control
    • Streamline paperwork exchange and tracking across all project stakeholders
    • Respond to RFIs, review shop drawings/submittals, issue ASIs, create sketches, and perform code research (ADA, Fair Housing, ICC A117, IBC)
    • Conduct substantial completion inspections, establish deficiency lists, and manage punch-lists
    • Attend progress meetings, observe field progress, evaluate contractor pay requisitions, and author field reports
    • Interface internally with PMs and PAs to resolve ongoing design/field issues
    • Mentor and review work of less experienced team members
    • Enforce contract scope adherence during the CA phase

    Skillsets

    • Ability to manage multiple projects (typically 2) simultaneously
    • Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, sustainability, contract management, and project delivery
    • Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office
    • Excellent written, graphic, and analytical communication skills
    • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and QA/QC enforcement capabilities
