Are you an accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, building relationships, and playing a key role in the success of construction projects? Waldinger is seeking a Construction Billing Specialist to join our team in La Vista, NE.
In this role, you'll be a critical partner to our project teams, ensuring accurate billing, managing project financials, supporting collections efforts, and helping projects stay on track from start to finish. What You'll Do
As a Construction Billing Specialist, you'll support the financial and administrative operations of assigned construction projects by:
Project Accounting
- Set up new projects and maintain project records throughout the project lifecycle
- Process customer billings, change orders, and project-related accounting transactions
- Support project managers with financial reporting and job management activities
Accounts Receivable
- Monitor outstanding receivables and proactively follow up on past-due accounts
- Maintain timely collection efforts and accurate collection notes
- Partner with management to identify accounts requiring external collection or lien actions
- Help ensure healthy cash flow across assigned projects
Accounts Payable
- Serve as the primary point of contact for AP-related questions on assigned projects
- Process purchase orders, subcontractor invoices, and related documentation accurately and efficiently
Contract Administration
- Maintain project contracts, change orders, and supporting documentation
- Ensure contract records are organized, complete, and up to date
Administrative Support
- Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed to help projects and teams succeed
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of accounting, billing, accounts receivable, or related experience
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Associate's degree preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software systems
