Job Summary

The Construction Automation Specialist reports to the Lead Construction Automation Specialist and is responsible for assisting with the establishment and administration of the suite of Construction Automation applications on the jobsite. This is a full-time, 100% onsite office/project role located at the Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project Stage 3 (CCL3) a new phase at the existing CCL facility that will consist of seven midscale liquefaction trains with an LNG production capacity of approximately 10 MTPA and associated infrastructure including utilities. CCL3 will perform all this work predominantly on a direct hire basis with support from only a few specialty and service subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Functional Automation Team to ensure processes and procedures are followed; also ensure new innovation and/or new application plans are implemented at site per the approved roll-out schedule.
  • Establish the data requirements to support construction work processes.
  • Work with Project Field Engineer to establish the requirements for Construction Automation Systems.
  • Coordinate with design engineering, procurement, project controls and other departments to establish automated data transfer between applications.
  • Configure BSAPs to meet project requirements.
  • Understand reporting requirements for each application and configure reports accordingly. Ensure reports are accurate reflections of the data and are functioning as intended.
  • Review/trouble-shoot data for accuracy and completeness. Identify and address anomalies and report to the PFE.
  • Provide ongoing administration to each BSAP.
  • Provide training and technical support to BSAP end users, including field engineering, supervision, administration, project controls and other site personnel.
  • Interface with corporate BSAP administrators to change functionality or configuration of applications to meet project specific requirements.
  • Assist the Project Field Engineer and Lead Area Field Engineers by providing training, direction, and support to TEAMWorks and Setroute administrators who are responsible for data entry and report generation.

Required Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of TEAMWorks and associated applications is required.
  • Advanced level capability with MS Excel and Access is required.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with other standard applications, including PTR, SETROUTE, BPS, and InfoWorks is desirable.
  • A good understanding of standard construction work processes and procedures is desirable.
  • Experience with other database platforms is desirable.

Education Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Engineering is desired but may be waived if equivalent industry experience can be demonstrated.
