Role Overview

The Assistant Project Manager will support the project management team through the full lifecycle of structural steel projects — from drawing review and approval processing through production and field coordination. This person will be hands-on with day-to-day project documentation and communication, keeping projects organized and moving forward.

Responsibilities

• Process RFIs, change orders, and transmittals
• Track and manage approved drawing submittals
• Review construction drawings for accuracy and completeness
• Participate in production meetings and support internal coordination
• Assist with scope reviews alongside Project Managers
• Maintain organized project documentation and communication logs

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with Division 5 (Metals) and the AISC Code of Standard Practice
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Background in construction management, engineering technology, or related field preferred
• Experience in a fabrication or construction environment a plus
• Self-motivated and able to thrive in a small company setting
