We are seeking an experienced Consulting Construction Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in the construction industry. This role demands a detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and highly organized individual who has a knack for cost analysis, work-in-progress, and Vista ERP. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of all accounting functions, including but not limited to, general ledger, account reconciliations, financial reporting, month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget tracking, and job cost reporting.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial aspects of our construction projects, including cost analysis, job cost reporting, and cost tracking.
2. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed.
3. Perform regular account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
4. Develop and present detailed financial reports to stakeholders, providing valuable insight into project performance.
5. Handle month-end close procedures and create journal entries as needed.
6. Utilize Vista ERP and Viewpoint Vista for efficient and accurate financial management.
7. Track and monitor project budgets, forecasting financial outcomes and making recommendations to optimize profitability.
8. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure financial objectives are met.
9. Ensure financial compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Vista ERP and Viewpoint Vista.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and account reconciliations.
5. Proven experience with financial reporting, month-end close, and budget tracking.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
8. Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Proven ability to forecast and track project costs effectively.
10. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
11. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
