Job Description:
As a Field Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our digital printing solutions. Based in the Manchester, CT area, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Customer Communication: Keep customers informed about all call activities, including scheduled arrival times, planned calls, and any deviations.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose failures and perform on-site repairs following company guidelines.
- Inventory Management: Maintain parts inventory and handle shipping of parts as needed after service calls.
- Reporting: Provide real-time updates throughout the day on service call activities and report any issues needing further attention.
- Special Projects: Participate in special projects as requested.
Profile:
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Education: Degree or certification in electrical engineering or a technical field is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and computer skills are essential.
- Previous field experience and familiarity with "road warrior" travel are advantageous.
- Knowledge of the printing industry is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and manage work-related stress.
- Physical Requirements:
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally move more than 100 lbs.
- Travel: Willingness to travel 70% of the time with little notice; flexibility to work on-call, including weekends.
