Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP/EDI Analyst to join a growing SAP team supporting enterprise business operations. This role is responsible for SAP ABAP development, EDI integration, troubleshooting, support, system enhancements, and ongoing project delivery.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working directly on SAP projects in a production business environment and brings strong expertise in SAP ABAP, EDI integrations, IDOCs, and Order-to-Cash processes.

Important: Candidates must possess real-world SAP experience gained through active participation in business projects and system support activities. Coursework, certifications, or limited exposure alone will not meet the requirements of this role.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, enhance, and support SAP ABAP solutions within SAP ECC environments
• Design and develop:
  • User Exits
  • Enhancements
  • Conversions
  • ALV Reports
  • LSMW programs
  • RFCs
  • BAPIs
  • BADIs
  • ALE/EDI integrations
  • IDOC processing solutions
• Develop and maintain SAP Scripts and Smart Forms
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve SAP system issues
• Support inbound and outbound EDI transactions and IDOC processing
• Monitor EDI interfaces and quickly resolve transmission or mapping errors
• Work with external EDI service providers and middleware teams to map EDI transactions to SAP IDOC structures
• Participate in onboarding new EDI trading partners and customers
• Communicate with vendors and trading partners to support EDI integration requirements
• Provide production support and respond to SAP and EDI support tickets
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
• Support enhancements, implementations, testing, and ongoing system improvements
• Assist in maintaining stable and efficient Order-to-Cash processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• 3-5+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience in SAP ECC 6.0 or higher
• Strong experience developing within:
  • SAP SD (Sales & Distribution)
  • SAP MM (Materials Management)
• Experience with:
  • ALE/EDI
  • IDOCs
  • BAPIs
  • BADIs
  • User Exits
  • Smart Forms
  • SAP Scripts
  • ALV Reporting
  • RFC Development
• Experience supporting inbound and outbound IDOC processing
• In-depth understanding of EDI integrations with SAP
• Experience working with EDI transactions including:
  • 850 (Purchase Orders)
  • 855 (Purchase Order Acknowledgments)
  • 846 (Inventory Inquiry/Advice)
  • 856 (Advance Ship Notices)
  • 810 (Invoices)
• Experience onboarding EDI trading partners and mapping EDI transactions to SAP structures
• Strong understanding of SAP Order-to-Cash processes
• Proven experience supporting at least one full SAP ECC implementation
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working with third-party EDI mapping and processing providers
• SQL query development experience
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale SAP environments
• Functional knowledge of Order-to-Cash business processes
• Experience building strong partnerships between IT and business teams
