Configuration Analyst II - Product Engineering Support

Works with full competence to conduct activities to collect, analyze, diagram (model), and report information and data flow, including state changes, to help make strategic decisions, achieve major goals, and solve complex problems. Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters.

Configuration Analyst IIMajor PurposeDevelop and support variant configuration data and model structures. This includes creating base machines, cost reps, experimental build machine configurations, and other machine variations with supporting 3D CAD visualizations. They will complete audits to ensure accuracy of configuration logic and ensure machine model. At this level individuals are working independently with limited guidance from more senior employees or their manager. Work completed by individuals at this level is expanded to include more functional teams or multiple products. There is also more interaction directly between design experts and other business teams to ensure design code logic aligns with order code logic to ensure correct machines are built for customers.Major Duties? Collect business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.? Conduct research and select relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools.? Plan all business and technical aspects of different data and analytics systems and platforms. Understand features and properties, ensure data integrity of new and existing tracking, and own the maintenance and administrative functions of these systems and platforms.? Oversee data collection mechanisms and how they fit into data architecture, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and accuracy.? Manage basic aspects of the data management system with guidance from senior colleagues. This includes being responsible for developing or operating basic elements of the data management systems to deliver prescribed outcomes.? Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.? Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.? Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.?
