Position Overview
A well-established and growing civil engineering firm is conducting a confidential search for a Project Manager (Professional Engineer). This role focuses on managing civil engineering projects from design through permitting while coordinating with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage civil engineering projects from concept through permitting
- Coordinate with internal staff to ensure timely project delivery
- Prepare and review design and construction plans
- Perform quantity take-offs and technical analysis
- Support permitting efforts and regulatory compliance
- Conduct hydraulic network analysis
- Assist with technical specification writing and interpretation
- Collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies
- Support construction administration activities
- Ensure quality control and project accuracy
Project Exposure May Include
- Land development projects
- Retrofit and infill developments
- Public sector infrastructure projects
- Multi-disciplinary civil engineering assignments
Qualifications
- Florida Registered Professional Engineer (PE) required
- 4–6+ years of civil engineering experience
- Strong understanding of civil design and permitting processes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Word
- Experience with hydraulic network analysis
- Experience in design and construction plan preparation
- Experience with quantity take-offs and permitting requirements
- Technical specification writing and interpretation
- Construction management exposure preferred
- Experience working with clients and regulatory agencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
