We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Concrete Plant Batchman/Dispatcher to oversee the daily production and delivery of ready-mix concrete. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring quality concrete production, efficient truck scheduling, and outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Batch ready-mix concrete in accordance with mix designs and quality standards.
- Coordinate and dispatch delivery trucks to maximize efficiency and meet customer schedules.
- Monitor production to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with company specifications.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, contractors, and sales personnel regarding delivery schedules and job site needs.
- Maintain accurate production, inventory, and delivery records.
- Monitor raw material inventories and notify management of supply needs.
- Troubleshoot production or scheduling issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and environmental regulations.
- Work closely with plant personnel to maintain efficient daily operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a concrete batchman, dispatcher, or ready-mix plant operator required.
- Knowledge of ready-mix concrete production, mix designs, and batching software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Typically Monday-Friday schedule but must be willing and available to work Saturdays and early mornings.
