Concrete Laborer

The Concrete Laborer assists with the manufacturing and production of precast concrete products such as concrete pipe, drainage structures, manholes, and other precast products. Use hand and power tools such as grinders, drills, impact tools, hammers, and concrete finishing tools.

The Concrete Laborer assists with the manufacturing and production of precast concrete products such as concrete pipe, drainage structures, manholes, and other precast products. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• 
  Assist with the production of precast concrete pipe and other concrete products.
  
• 
  Prepare, clean, oil, assemble, and strip concrete molds and forms.
  
• 
  Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete according to production requirements.
  
• 
  Assist with setting reinforcing steel, rebar, wire mesh, and other materials inside molds.
  
• 
  Use hand and power tools such as grinders, drills, impact tools, hammers, and concrete finishing tools.
  
• 
  Remove finished concrete products from molds after proper curing.
  
• 
  Inspect finished products for cracks, defects, dimensions, and overall quality.
  
• 
  Patch, grind, or finish concrete surfaces as necessary.
  
• 
  Assist machine operators and production crews throughout the manufacturing process.
  
• 
  Move materials, tools, forms, and production supplies throughout the facility.
  
• 
  Perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, and repetitive physical tasks.
  
• 
  Maintain a clean and organized production area.
  
• 
  Follow production schedules and instructions from supervisors and team leads.
  
• 
  Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  
• 
  Work safely around forklifts, cranes, heavy equipment, machinery, and moving concrete products.
  
• 
  Perform additional general labor and production duties as assigned.
  

Requirements:

• 
  Previous concrete, construction, manufacturing, precast, or general labor experience is preferred but not always required.
  
• 
  Ability to perform physically demanding work for an entire shift.
  
• 
  Ability to lift approximately 50+ lbs. As required.
  
• 
  Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  
• 
  Must be comfortable working around concrete dust, noise, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment.
  
• 
  Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.
  
• 
  Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  
• 
  Steel-toe boots and other required PPE.
  
• 
  Willingness to work overtime when production demands require it.
