A growing contractor in Minnesota is growing and has an immediate need to add a pursuing a Concrete Foreman to their team. This role offers room to grow with a company that’s actively expanding.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Assembles members of the organization (supervisory, clerical, engineering, and other workers) at the start of the project.
  • Orders procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
  • Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work phases of each project to achieve schedules.
  • Confers with and directs subordinate supervisory personnel to perform contract work scope.
  • Inspects and supervises all work in progress at all levels and work locations to ensure that work conforms to specifications and that production schedules are adhered to.
  • Prepares or receives from subordinates, reports on productivity, progress, materials used, cost, and adjusts work schedules and execution plans as indicated by reports.
  • May direct workers involved in major maintenance or reconditioning projects for existing installations. Workers are usually designated according to the type of project, work construction activity directed, and skill-sets required.
  • Establishes and oversees the means, methods, and schedule for performance of the scope of work.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of previous experience as a Superintendent in concrete construction. Experience must include flatwork for commercial builds.
  • Must possess a broad understanding of all aspects of construction including on-site inspection, verification of conformance with Contract Documents, scheduling, project budget/costs, progress reporting, and project closeout.
  • Must possess strong leadership ability to supervise team members, sub-contractors, and provide administrative backup to achieve our client's total satisfaction.
  • Must interface with our client and make sure any problems that arise are resolved quickly.
  • Adhere to strict safety standards and procedures
