The Concrete Finisher I performs skilled concrete construction and repair work, including setting forms, placing rebar, and finishing sidewalks, curbs, slabs, and drainage structures. The role operates a variety of concrete and heavy equipment, interprets blueprints, supports roadway and pothole repairs, and assists with traffic control and snow removal. This position requires strong craftsmanship, reliability, and the ability to work safely in fast‑paced, outdoor environments while supporting Public Works operations year‑round.

Generally, the hiring range is $52,197-$65,246 annually. Qualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position will be taken into consideration when determining hiring salary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED and 3 years of related experience in the field of concrete construction, to include concrete removal, placement, and finishing. A combination of experience and education may be considered.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS: Must obtain a State of Colorado Commercial Driver License Class B within 6 months of hire. Review of motor vehicle record is required at time of hire and periodically throughout employment. Incumbent is expected to obtain a Commercial Driver License Class A to achieve career progression in this classification series. Incumbents in this position must meet the Department of Transportation physical exam and drug and alcohol testing requirements.
