    Description

    Concrete Finisher I (Beginner)

    Position Overview

    Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand tools. Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters.

    Essential Functions of the Job
    1. Sets and aligns the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth.
    2. Spreads the concrete using a come along or shovel.
    3. Produce rough concrete surface using broom.
    4. Applies hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete, and waterproof or restore surface.
    5. Sealing of expansion joints.
    6. Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
    7. Other duties as assigned
    General Tasks:
    • Maintain a clean job site to eliminate potential hazards.
    • Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.

    Requirements
    • Occasional travel overnight - Travel may be required based on operational needs.
    • Valid Driver license and Clear MVR record if needed to drive.
    This position is subject to outside environmental conditions to include extreme cold and hot temperatures according to the season. This is a heavy-duty position that requires long periods of standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and bending.
