Central Pennsylvania | Altoona Area | Commercial High-Rise Projects
TradeWorX is hiring Concrete Finishers for long-term commercial construction projects in the Altoona, PA region. These projects involve large structural pours and high-rise commercial construction with an established Central Pennsylvania builder known for major developments including housing, hospitality, healthcare, and institutional facilities.
This role is ideal for finishers who can lead placement operations, maintain finish quality under production conditions, and execute complex structural concrete work.

- 40+ hours per week with flexed overtime based on project phase

- Work schedules vary based on jobsite conditions and concrete placement timing
- Projects will begin in April
- Build and set complex concrete forms for slabs, walls, columns, and structural pours
- Perform high-quality finishing: screed, float, hand trowel, power trowel, and edge work
- Control elevation, slope, and flatness (FF/FL requirements where applicable)
- Identify and correct pour issues including bleed water, cold joints, and surface defects
- Coordinate placement with pump operators, laborers, and carpenters
- Lead small crews during placement and finishing operations
- Read construction plans and accurately Client out formwork
- Execute large slab pours and structural placements
- Troubleshoot mix behavior, curing conditions, and finish timing
- Maintain finish quality under production schedules
- Work safely and efficiently in high-volume commercial environments
- Screeds (hand and laser)
- Bull floats and fresnos
- Power trowels (walk-behind and ride-on)
- Edgers, groovers, jointers
- Form panels, walers, ties, stakes
- Concrete vibrators for consolidation
- Advanced experience in commercial concrete finishing
- Ability to read construction drawings and layout work
- Must have associated concrete finishing hand tools
- Reliable transportation to State College area jobsites
- OSHA 10
- State College, PA region
- Multiple commercial projects across Central Pennsylvania
