Position Overview
As a Concierge, you will serve as an ambassador of The Fifth Avenue Hotel, delivering a refined, seamless, and highly personalized guest experience. You will anticipate guest needs, curate bespoke experiences, and connect guests to the very best that New York City has to offer.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Engagement & Service Excellence
Warmly greet and engage guests with polished professionalism and genuine hospitality
Provide thoughtful, anticipatory service at every opportunity
Curated Recommendations
Offer expert guidance on premier local attractions, cultural institutions, fine dining, luxury retail, and exclusive events
Stay current on the city’s most sought-after experiences
Reservations & Arrangements
Secure dining reservations, event tickets, and curated experiences, including access to exclusive or hard-to-book venues
Arrange transportation with attention to comfort, efficiency, and guest preferences
Personalized Guest Services
Fulfill unique and high-level guest requests, including sourcing specialty items and coordinating bespoke services
Run errands and coordinate deliveries with discretion and precision
Guest Logistics
Receive, store, and deliver guest luggage, mail, and personal belongings with the utmost care and attention
Collaboration
Support the Guest Services team during peak arrival and departure periods or as needed
Partner with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery
Guest Satisfaction
Maintain awareness of guest feedback and satisfaction metrics
Ensure every guest departs with a memorable and exceptional experience
Safety & Standards
Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with hotel standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior customer service experience required; luxury hospitality experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of New York City, including cultural landmarks, dining, retail, and events
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Work Environment
Flexible schedule required, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
Role requires extended periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
