Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate concession windows during sporting events and provide friendly, efficient customer service.
- Stock and restock food, beverages, supplies, and other concession products.
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items.
- Perform light food preparation as needed.
- Handle cash and/or point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary concession areas.
- Clean and close concession areas following events.
- Monitor inventory and communicate when products or supplies need to be replenished.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and district procedures.
- Work cooperatively with other concession staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous food service, retail, concession, or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
- Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, stocking, and cleaning.
- Must be willing to follow food safety and sanitation requirements.
Schedule Requirements:
- Flexible schedule required.
- Position will include evening hours and some weekend work based on the athletic event schedule.
- Availability may vary depending on the season and scheduled sporting events.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 40 pounds
- Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work; those activities where detailed or import spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
- Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- The worker is subject to environmental conditions.
- The worker should provide consistent and reliable in person attendance.
