Position Summary
The Concessions Counter Team Member creates a welcoming, efficient, and memorable dining experience by guiding guests through the ordering process while supporting the overall operation of the restaurant. As the primary point of contact at the restaurant counter, this position combines hospitality, menu knowledge, and operational excellence to ensure every guest feels welcomed and well cared for.
Concessions Counter Team Member are hospitality professionals first. While their primary responsibility is taking food and beverage orders, they are cross-trained to support food running, bussing, hosting, and Guest Services as business demands change. Their flexibility helps Henderson Sport & Social deliver exceptional service throughout the facility.

- Creates genuine relationships with guests and regulars that encourage repeat visits.
- Provides fast, accurate, and friendly service while maintaining an organized counter.
- Confidently recommends menu items, explains ingredients, and suggests add-ons to enhance the guest experience.
- Supports teammates by transitioning between Counter Service, Food Running, Bussing, Hosting, and Guest Services as needed.
- Maintains a clean, stocked, and guest-ready dining environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Welcome guests, answer questions, take food and beverage orders, and process transactions accurately through the POS system.
- Prepare fountain beverages and, when legally permitted and trained, serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with Nevada law and company policy.
- Build guest checks through suggestive selling, menu recommendations, allergy awareness, and product knowledge.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and food runners to ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment. During slower periods, deliver food directly to guests.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, patio, condiment stations, beverage stations, service stations, trash, ice, and restocking areas.
- Cross-train and assist as a Food Runner, Busser, Restaurant Host, and Guest Services Attendant, including attraction admissions, redemption, birthday check-ins, membership questions, and phone support as assigned.
- Maintain accurate cash handling and POS procedures while protecting company assets.
- Complete additional operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Strong communication, hospitality, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to learn multiple operating systems and work across several departments.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, quick-service, hospitality, or family entertainment experience.
- Knowledge of food allergies, menu recommendations, and suggestive selling.
- Team members who are 21 years of age or older may be trained to serve alcoholic beverages.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and carry trays, supplies, and cleaning materials.
- Work in a fast-paced guest-facing environment while maintaining a professional appearance.
