    PA0738 Processing Center

    Job Description

    The Computer Operator is responsible to operate all equipment in the computer room as well as process all scheduled computer runs and printing/distributing reports.

    This position is eligible for a shift differential.

    Essential Functions

    • Manage personal workload and workflow
    • Maximize technology tools available
    • Process schedules / computer runs
    • Operate computer equipment and printers, and forms handling equipment
    • Distribute reports / special forms
    • Monitor AS400 operation / performance
    • Verify computer logs and posting totals
    • Unload/sort computer supplies
    • Identify and resolve other department issues
    • Report problems to management immediately
    • Maintain Iron Mountain Tape logs with Securesync and SharePoint, and computer room and operations building security
    • Monitor incoming and outgoing file transfers with momentum
    • Verify incoming Check 21 Posting and Image (COF) files
    • Review and publish Istatements
    • Minimize department nonpayroll costs
    • Recommend improvements to procedures
    • Attempt to exceed departmental expectations
    • Recommend technological enhancements/upgrades, and service and delivery enhancements

    Additional Essential Functions

    • Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
    • Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
    • Work as part of a team
    • Work with on-site equipment

    Education

    Bachelor's Degree computer technology degree or related subject

    Work Experience

    3 - 5 years computer operations experience
