This long-term contract-to-hire position offers hands-on experience in laptop and desktop repair, with the flexibility to travel between Kansas City, Lenexa, and St. Joseph. [Responsibilities]
- Respond to assigned service requests for laptop and desktop repairs across multiple metro locations
- Perform hardware repairs including hard drive, motherboard, and keyboard replacements
- Conduct whole unit swaps and repair or replace PC peripherals
- Utilize company-provided phone to close service tickets in real time within the call management system
- Maintain a professional presence while traveling to client sites, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in laptop and desktop break-fix repair
- Proven ability to replace and repair computer hardware components
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and basic computer software
- Strong troubleshooting skills for non-complex technical problems
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid car insurance required
[Preferred Skills]
- Experience building computers or assembling PC hardware
- Familiarity with a broad range of laptop and desktop brands and peripherals
