As a key player in our team, you'll troubleshoot mechanical failures, support environmental compliance, and coordinate with operational staff to maintain seamless gas lift system function. Your expertise will directly impact production efficiency and safety standards across the site.

Opportunity Snapshot:

• Job Title: Compression Mechanic
• Duration: 6 months +
• Work Schedule: 10/4 (8 hours per day, starting at 7:00 am)
• Location: Pecos, TX
• Compensation: $35-50/hour
• Equipment: Truck Provided (1/2 ton)

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in compressor operation and maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures
• Knowledge of compressor performance, environmental concerns, and safety protocols
• Familiarity with air emission permits and environmental regulations
• Strong communication skills to serve as a liaison with rental/service companies and internal teams

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous roles involving gas lift systems or oilfield machinery
• Certifications in safety and environmental standards (PEC Safeland, H2S, Well Control)

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or technical trade certification
• 3+ years of relevant experience in industrial compressor maintenance and operations

Other Requirements:

• Valid PEC Safeland Certification prior to start
• Compliance with Apache Corporation’s PPE and safety equipment standards
• Ability to work a 10/4 schedule (10 days on, 4 days off), starting at 7:00 am
• Possession of necessary safety certifications like ANSI Z390.1-2017 H2S training and Well Control (IADC) if applicable
• Must be physically capable of wearing PPE and operating tools listed, including safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hard hats, gas monitors, SCBA, and more
