Description

Compressed Air & Fluid Systems Service Technician

Location: Charleroi, PA (Remote)

  • Are you fluent with laser alignment and vibration analysis tools?

Key responsibilities

  • Provide on-site installation, repair, and commissioning support for Ingersoll Rand equipment to meet performance standards.
  • Maintain a safety-first mindset; promptly report incidents/near misses with a target of zero lost-time events.
  • Support sales by attending customer calls, conducting technical walk-downs, and shaping differentiated solutions.
  • Submit service reports, customer call notes, time sheets, and expenses on time to enable accurate follow-up and invoicing.
  • Recommend procedural and process enhancements to improve response speed and data quality.
  • Follow department guidelines to ensure consistency and service excellence.
  • Apply vibration diagnostics and laser alignment for testing, balancing, and troubleshooting.
  • Generate aftermarket leads; document insights to expand installed base visibility in the CRM.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in millwright/maintenance/engineering/field service or comparable technical role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • The job includes an assigned vehicle, so the candidate must have a valid license and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle background check.

  • Specifying replacement parts for engineered systems.
  • Industrial sales or technical selling background.
  • Troubleshooting vibration, system, and aerodynamic challenges.

Travel, schedule, and incentives

  • Up to 80% travel; international trips possible.
  • Role supports customers’ 24/7 service needs.
  • Annual incentive plans available.

Compensation & benefits

Pay range: $65,000–$85,000, depending on skills, experience, training, certifications/licensure, and location.
