Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Composites Engineer to support the development and manufacturing of innovative, real-world applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced composite structures, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to design, develop, test, and optimize materials and manufacturing processes for mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities of the Composites Engineer:

  • Develop composite systems for structural applications
  • Drive continuous improvements in materials, manufacturing processes, and testing methodologies
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to select materials and define layups, fiber architectures, and resin systems
  • Investigate material and process failures and lead root-cause analyses to identify corrective actions
  • Maintain technical documentation, material specifications, and process guidelines
  • Support the validation and performance testing of composite structures and components

Qualifications of the Composites Engineer:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience with CAD design and engineering applications
  • Strong understanding of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and structural applications
  • Experience using FEA tools to analyze and validate composite structures
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

Compensation & Benefits: Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 (depending on experience)
