    Composite Technician I – Aerospace/Spacecraft Manufacturing
    ATR International

    ATR International is seeking a highly motivated, entry-level Composite Technician to join our client's composite manufacturing team building spacecraft products for communication satellites and next-generation space programs. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to learn composite fabrication skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

    Position Description

    • Entry-level Composite Technician role
    • Form pre-impregnated carbon fiber material onto contoured molds and vacuum bag for cure
    • Perform bonding of composite assemblies using two-part epoxies, metallic hardware, and carbon fiber hardware
    • Follow written work instructions, including blueprints, parts lists, manufacturing specifications, and process instructions
    • Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, Starrett scales, and dial indicators
    • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area
    • Work efficiently to complete job assignments within manufacturing time standards
    • Work independently on small jobs and collaboratively as part of a larger team on bigger hardware fabrication
    • Produce quality composite hardware that meets drawing specifications
    • Participate in 5S activities, including cleaning and organizing work areas
    • Maintain good attendance and adhere to shift start times and scheduled breaks
    • Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
    • Work overtime as needed to support the production schedule

    Position Requirements

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum 2 years of hands-on manufacturing experience
    • Self-starter willing to learn composite manufacturing skills in a fast-paced environment
    • Highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed
    • Ability to learn quickly, plan, and adapt
    • Goal-oriented; takes responsibility and accountability
    • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to read, understand, and follow process instructions, and perform learned layup and assembly techniques
    • Dexterity using general manufacturing hand and measuring tools (scissors, utility knife, calipers, scales, etc.)
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs
    • Ability to work extended hours as required
    • Must be able to pass a background check
