    Job Description & Skill Requirement:
    The Composite Structural Engineer will support product design and manufacturing technology, with a strong focus on structural design, materials, analysis, testing, and product improvement.
    Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
    • Experience in product design and manufacturing technology.
    • Proficient in 2D drawings, 3D modeling, SolidWorks, PDM, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFMEA, and FEA.
    • Experience with sheet metal fabrication, plastic molding, and casting.
    • Knowledge and experience in metal and polymer material selection.
    • Apply engineering principles using hand calculations, handbook methods, and FEA modeling where appropriate.
    • Hands-on experience building test samples and operating test equipment.
    • Strong understanding of failure modes and analysis, including establishing analysis and test methods to clearly understand failure modes and quantify margins to failure.
    • Develop test procedures, conduct functional testing, interpret results, and correlate results with product performance.
    • Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
    • Experience with Value Engineering (VAVE) and product design updates for cost reduction is preferred.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and manage projects from start to finish.
    • Strong commitment to accountability, collaboration, and execution.
    • Ability to establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Up to 10% overnight travel may be required.
