The Composite Assembler is responsible for fabricating, assembling, repairing, and finishing composite components used in aerospace applications. This hands-on role works with materials such as fiberglass, epoxy, resin, and foam to perform bonding, drilling, riveting, fitting, sanding, and surface preparation in accordance with blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has prior composites or fiberglass experience, is comfortable using hand and pneumatic tools, and brings strong attention to detail in a precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform composite part repairs, surface prep, and bonded assemblies
Drill, rivet, and fit composite and metal components using hand and power tools
Work with epoxy, resin, foam, fiberglass, and other aerospace-grade materials
Follow work instructions and blueprints to ensure parts meet precise fit and quality standards
Fit parts into molds, fixtures, or assemblies and apply bonding techniques as needed
Deflash, sand, and finish components to tight tolerances
Track material usage and maintain basic production records
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
Assist with general shop tasks and support production as needed
Follows company workmanship and quality standards.
Other assigned tasks by management.
Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director.
