Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months relevant experience.

Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is Seeking a talented and motivated Component Engineer Support Specialist to join our team based in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will apply your knowledge and experience about electrical/electronic components, mechanical hardware as well as chemical based materials such as paints, solvents, adhesives, and thermal filling agents used in the space flight, military defense and mission-critical systems.
Candidate will need to be an independent self-starter with an attention to detail and possess strong communications skills as well as the ability to concurrently manage multiple tasks and problems centered around parts and material issues.
This position requires the processing of New Part Requests (NPRs) to create new manufacturing parts with the Windchill ePDM framework or to update/correct existing parts in that database that do not conform to the component engineering standards. This position will require the candidate to learn to analyze data sheets, military and other industry specifications and drawings to determine if configuration control is demonstrated as well as determine who is controlling the configuration.
