Compliance Specialist

Compliance Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Compliance, the Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring federal, state, and local laws and regulations are followed

Client Details

A global Wine & Spirits resource of 4000+ premium wine and spirits, sourcing from over 20 countries. Works with a distributor network in 46 states and operate direct distribution in 10 states: New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, DC/Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.

Description

• Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations
• Ensure all states' requirements are met before products are sold
• Ensure product information is accurate such as availability, pricing advertising, etc.
• Maintain registration in multiple states for company items
• Manage label registrations for COLA submission for new or redesign products under TTB regulations
• Enforce compliance standards on company's operation
• Coordinate with vendors on items such as, but not limited to permit renewals, product registrations, and label revisions
• Maintain compliance information in Navision, reflecting on company website
• Perform other duties as assigned

Profile

Bachelors degree in fields such as, but not limited to risk management and compliance; in addition to 3+ years of professional experience in related field. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft office suite. Excellent communication skills and organizational skills. Strong analytical/problem solving skills, decision-making skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent time management skills and interpersonal skills. Experience in wine industry/wine compliance.
