Responsibilities

• Audit tenant files, correspondence, and reporting documentation to ensure compliance with housing regulations and program requirements.
• 
  
• Calculate income, assets, rental assistance eligibility, and tenant rent obligations with accuracy and attention to detail.
• 
  
• Process certifications and recertifications for third-party compliance portfolios.
• 
  
• Serve as a resource for compliance-related questions, policies, and procedures across the organization.
• 
  
• Conduct on-site file audits and compliance reviews
• 
  
• Maintain accurate documentation and support ongoing compliance reporting initiatives.
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• 2+ years of experience in auditing, compliance, internal controls, accounting, or a related field.
• 
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• 
  
• Comfortable interpreting regulations, policies, and procedural requirements.
• 
  
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• 
  
• Experience with Yardi or other property management/compliance software is a plus.
• 
  
• Ability to travel approximately 20-25% throughout Wisconsin for property visits and file reviews.
• 
  
• Self-motivated team player who can work independently while collaborating with a close-knit compliance team.
